Anybody running 1 sub with 2 amps powering it???

I know a lot of people doing this. Not too many pros to it that I can think of. There's a few cons though, it's not as easy with 2 amps than 1 amp, you have to make sure both coils are getting the same amount of power (not just setting the gains the same either, it takes the math to do this), most likely taking up more space, it's going to take more wire to run it all, setting the gains are going to be difficult because you have a few deciding factors like how many audio input volts each amp is given (if you're running both sets of RCA's from the headunit or if you are running one set from the headunit and the other to a 'Pass Thru' on the amp, because the 'Pass Thru' outputs are amped so it's easier to hit your dedicated voltage than opposed to running it through an RCA output on the headunit.) Too many deciding factors on that one. Two 1000 watt amps could be more expensive than 1 2000 watt amp.

Not much experience with DVC subs, huh? That just is not true. . . .sorry.

And you can just use an RCA 'Y' and it will work just fine.

I was running (4) amps per sub. No problem. Running (2) amps per sub now.

As already mentioned, if you get the right amps and sub, you can run them strapped and you only use the settings on one amp anyway.

(2) amps + (1) sub = bling bling //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
