anybody know the speaker size for 2003 bmw 325?

i've read a few different things. some people said 5 1/4 some people said 6 1/2 would work.... i also read that putting aftermarket component speakers in bmw's is a pain in the ***? anybody have any experience or insight? thanks!

Just from looking at them i would say 5.25, i've seen many 6.5's and they do look smaller than 6.5's.

As far as I know, for newer BMW's, the optical systems make it very difficult to do an install.

06.5-up 3 series

any 6 series

front door mids are 6.5s with an odd screw pattern so be prepared to make plates....rear mids are 5.25

My 03 325I had 5 1/4" attached to door panel. I had the doors cut to accomidate the motor on a 6.5 and added baffles to the door. This is the way to go. Search some of the E46 forums and see what I'm talking about cutting the door.
