There is a large collector car auction in my area this weekend. I was there checking it out today and happened to notice that this car was there with an asking price of $150,000.....

If I had 150K it certainly wouldn't be spent on that....it would be used to move me and all my stuff overseas and get setup over there before I worried about buying a car...

Now that install was nice. Waterfall with projected logos on it. That is just different.

i would want them to switch out all the speakers for WAY BETTER ones. but i cant see how they get $150k for that the car is $35k that is $115k on just upgrades, yeah no. for that price i could have one badass 69 camero ss and still have 10 sets of extra tires laying around to roast

Keep in mind that you can avoid patent infringement (and actually file your own patent) by changing or improving an already patented design. So, as long as the Kicker sub and Hifonics sub aren't identical in design, there would be no patent infringement assuming Kicker did hold a patent on a "square" subwoofer.

Kicker has the patent to specific technology relating to square subwoofers, such as the ribbing of the surround in the corners, but I don't think they hold a patent on making a subwoofer "square" since that's too generic.

I have a mag from a couple years ago that has that car featured in it. I LOVE that install on their because its one of those things where there is enough different ideas in it to really make it stand out. I would have a hard time spending 150k on just about any car, but I certainly understand why its that much money.
