just wondering what i can expect...

some of you may have read my thread

on my subs making a weird popping

noise... well most people i talked to

thought it was my RCA or my ground...

tonight i redid all my wiring and it

was still doing it... i even swiched RCA

cables... and its still doing it...

i dont know if it could be the amp...

im going to try and take it to a local

shop so they can tell me whats wrong

hopefully...

i think its going to be the subs are messed

up... i got them all the way back in october...

this royally sucks the big fat one...

so anyways... what can i expect from RE

besides a big fuk U...???

they will probably try to tell me i somehow

blew 2 SE's with an 1100 watt amp turned

half way up... in a week and a half...

how i managed this i dont know...

if they were to give me a hassle on the

warranty... would they at least be able

to fix them???

or should i start planning my next setup???

thanks mister RE... i didnt actually mean to imply that

you guys were mean or anything...

im quite the RE fan and i love my subs... but something

is definately wrong with my setup... which absolutely

sucks because they are ~2 weeks old... and i waited 25

days to get them...

ill be giving a call over once i know i have too...

When you say your amp was turned half way up, are you talking about the gains? If so, how did you go about setting them? They arent a volume knob to set in the middle and assume thats a conservative setting. My setup, for example, the amp will be receiving slightly over its max input signal when my hu is turned comletely up, therefore I'll need to set my gains at their minimum... setting them at 'half way' would surely clip the amp badly when the volume is turned up.

Not saying you are making this mistake, but with the wording of your post, just checking...

i used a volt meter to set the gain... im at one ohm so

i did around 28 volts so the watts should be less than 800...

maybe a bit more than half... but certainly no where near

the 600 RMS per sub...
