Anybody else watch Oppenheimer?

Watched the first half of Oppenheimer last night. Put us to sleep. We may watch the second half tonight, but it was really hard to watch - slow and choppy. They managed to make a story that I already know seem confusing. Anybody else watch this movie? I don't get how this movie is so critically acclaimed.

I haven’t yet. I’ve read a ton of books and watched a ton of documentaries. It may sound odd, but I’m waiting for just the right night when I don’t have any distractions to watch it for the first time. I’m a big WW2 history lover.

I'm a big ww2 guy too. TBH, I don't recommend it. A lot of revolves around the politics before and after the bomb and not much on the war itself.

I have seen it, and I really enjoyed it. I appreciate how the movie focused on what he went before and after the design/use of the bomb.

Just wasn't what I was expecting.
