The search function has always sucked on this site. But at least its doing something at this point, last couple times I tried it would tell me it found zero results for my search criteria, even when Id put in extremely common words that are used here every day.
If I was Goob, I would make the search function a top priority. This is a forum based on the car audio hobby, and its bread 'n butter is information. When the search function doesn't work, or works badly, it severely limits a person's ability to find pertinent info. In other words the site, functionally, is not at the level it should be to attract and keep new members that are here looking for a place to do research into their hobby. It also has trickle-down negatives such as veteran members growing tired of seeing/answering the same old questions every few days, and the forum taking on an over all feel/image of being more about a day-to-day discussion forum (look at the wire I bought today, look at what I ate for lunch, check out this monster turd I just dropped), instead of being a site more related to in-depth and serious discussions about car audio.
That being said, google has a function that allows you to search individual sites, so it can be used as a reliable alternative to the search function here. But most noobs, the ones who come here with the same old questions all the time, dont seem to know about the google trick.
