anybody else like wearing neckties?

Most ties are just meh for quality... They're made of poly, cotton, or a real thin piece of shit silk.

My favs are Zegna, Hugo Boss, and Brooks Brothers makes a real nice tie. Probably only need to wear a tie 3-4 times for month to work and it's a pain in the arse for the summer FL humidity.

Ha, so why do I get made fun of for this shit by you guys?

Mock neck sweaters are my fav //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

INC makes awesome button downs. Really nice designs.

If you're not familiar with the name, look them up!

Great dancing shoes!
I have a pair of those. Too soft of an insert for my liking. Feel like Im walking on wet sponges if I wear them for a period of time.

thank god i the councilwoman i work for does not force us to wear suits. i tend to wear some nice docker slacks, stacy adams, and a guayabera.

poly/cotton guayabera for work and 100% linen for special occasions.

rarely wear ties and suits

I'm actually impressed how this thread has moved along, that's a good thing. There are a lot of designers who make 100% silk ties that are thick, not that thin cheap crap that falls apart. Geoffrey B., Van H., Hugo, Zegna etc. Some of the same designers make awesome suits; Hugo and Zegna of course will break your bank. Alfani makes some very nice athletic fitting suits that are worth the money and can be found at Macy's. Don't forget the pocket hankerchief. They also have a huge line of dress shirts you can choose from. For those who like to dress it down but still wear the tie, you might want to try a nice pair of slacks(alfani, perry ellis, nautica etc), nice shirt, sweater vest(light or midweight) and a tie--with a nice pair of casuals(Kenneth Cole, Cole-hahn, etc). Don't forget to add the wrist watch so that when you go to shake hands the impression is sealed--I prefer movado, tag, citizen.

never worn a suit or tie in my life....maybe i should get one sometime?
how much you guys spend on your whole 'suit'? minus watch.
$275 for a cheap suit + alteration (You could probably get a suit for a solid $150 if you get it on sale and don't get it altered)

$50 shoes on sale/eBay

$20-40 for each shirt

$30 for the cuff links

$20-30 for tie

$15 for the belt

But it's all stuff you get to keep forever, and say you ever go to a nicer club or lounge, perfect time to wear it. Just make sure what you buy is ballin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
