any welders/machinest?

well from what i gathered at my work, welders can make more, but then agin, sum of the machines are cnc and those people who run those make high 18- low 20's and the manual ones make alot more

I'm sure it depends on what is most important to the company. My company runs CNC for multi-thousand dollar sputtering targets with +/- .005 tolerances on most angles. Our welders weld Ti to Al so they get paid less. Still get paid well though. Both are tough as hell.

I would have to say in the normal event machinest would make more, but welding I has alot of what u are willing to for the big buck,I was paid 17.50 to learn how machine,no to bad.But my boy works in plants and shit and has his on welding machine in his truck,$26 for his hand,$14 for his machine, and a 100 bucks a day perdeim(I guess that is how spell it)10 hour a day=500 bucks a day dude! And get this he might make 3-5 6" welds a day.

you can go anywhere with welding.

machinest your confined to a factory atmosphere

i just got my welding certification. no experience right out of school = $12-14/hour starting. around the $20s/hour for experience after a while.

ya i think im going to go with welding, there willing to pay for my schooling and turn me into a part time inturn? then i can get my skills and maybe find another place down the road

cnc people dont do shit at my work lol, they have programs already for most parts and type in a num and it does all the work and they stand around bs'ing all day
