I'm a big fan of the Rolex/Tudor. Not so sure I like the style of the new Tudor lineup though... They're awfully big for my tastes.

Buy a good Swiss watch, save box and papers, it's not a terrible store of value if you take care of it.

If you can name one function a watch provides that a cell phone can't I'll leave your thread alone.

An automatic wound watch needs physical movement to keep it going, while a smart phone needs some sort of power supply to continue telling time. A watch never gets an upgrade while smart phones are obsolete after a year and a half. A good watch can physically go underwater up to or more than 300M while a smart phone needs something to protect water from entering it's case. While a smart phone may tell everything even speak, it doesn't have any physical movement at all to show how it works. You can put bling on any smart phone but again you'll create a new word describing dork all over again, you can't over bling the right watch once envy sets in. Just a few things I can think of.

I've a Tag Carerra that I NEVER wear except for special occasions.

Two main ones in my rotation are this beast.



And my favorite... the Hammy GMT Diver. That, for some reason I can not find a pic of to save my life.

I keep meaning to get me a couple Chiner ones.

I agree. I own two of them now and love them. The size takes a minute to get used to. But once your used to it you can't even notice you're wearing it.
