@shredder2 are you just changing the coil is all? Any other soft part changes along with the recone ordered?

The same but in d1... it was 1 extra spider, I'm adding a larger Northstar as well... SMS Agm 220.

I got a set of those Gp terminals so why not.

I'll play with airspace once I start testing too.... might stay the same,  might not.

Everything is ordered... now the wait then finding motivation.

Ok. 1 additional spider more? How many was it before 2?  Do you think the stiffness or suspension limited a bit will keep your clamped power about the same for that box or just adding some additional assurance for the current setup? Just curious.

The same as previously... 2 spiders.

Same enclosure to start... we'll see. 

I'm gonna test, test... no predictions at this point.

You should paint the inside of your box with fiberglass resin or at the minimum a heavy slathering of wood hardener. You can never have too rigid of a box when it comes to spl. I would have tried different orientations, sweeps and moved interior bits around first before doing a recone. Those are all freebies. I gained 1.8db from bumping up the gain to a soft clip (only advisable if you know what you're doing.)

You should build a new box. Woofer and port on same baffle. I never could get loud with sub up port back/port side. Always was louder when woofer and port is on the same baffle. 

The enclosure is the most important part.

1st 110 degree assault of the summer is currently happening here in Phx...

And I'm waiting on FI to ship the recone.

I hope it cools off a little bit by then.
