Any quality and inexpensive 8" subs out there?

Excluding the Kicker 8" subs and the RL-i 8" are there any real nice inexpensive 8" subs out there. Will be for a sealed application in a relatively small box like less than 0.6^3 each.

i think any sub any $400 is cheap but this is for one of my sales reps at work. He wants to add a deck with Sirius radio and a sub/couple subs but he got sticker shock when i said for like 5-600 i can hook 'em up with the deck, sirius module, 2 10"s, amp , install and custom box for his 2001 Dodge Ram Quad cab

oh and he listens to mainly rock...Metallica and the like so i thought 2 10"s or 2 8"s in a sealed box would fit him just fine. He's not looking for loud, just louder than normal when he wants to jam while travelling.

I have 2 of the RE8's on an old 300 watt Jensen amp, and I love them....after setting the gain, then bumping the LPF filter on the amp a bit, they get plenty loud..I'm gonna try and get them metered this week and I'll post the #'s

Heres some things I can do with just those 2 eights on 300 watts..and some things that just happen

Put my cell phone on the top of the car and watch it move

Do the T-shirt trick, sometimes.

Have to readjust my rearview mirror if I've been bumping for a long time

Have to roll the rear windows back up because they move down about 1/8-1/4 inch after I bump for a while.

Sit back in the seat and get a message from the bass

btw, i bought these practicaly new, one had never been used and one was used only for testing an amp for a few minutes, and I paid $175 for both plus the box.

Also, its a ported box tuned to 35hz

they hit harder than my old system, 2-alphasonik 10's on a 350 watt visonik amp

I use 1 Memphis M-Class 8" in my s-10, and it sound good. It is in a .35 cube sealed box. Cheap and does not take much power.

i love my assassin 8, i have it in about .6 after displacement @ 40hz, sounds good on pretty much everything

x100 for the Assassin. I own two 12" and a single 10" (currently running a single 12" in about a 1.2cf sealed enclosuere off about 400W) and they are very impressive to me. I have no doubts that the 8" would also impress.

I recently heard a Polk Momo 8" 4 Ohm SVC in a 0.4cf sealed enclosure powered by a Kicker KX400.1 and it actually surprised me. I don't necessarily think it's worth the $70 or so internet price, but that's strictly my opinion. I'd likely recommend it to someone that's wanting a more "big box" retailer brand setup and is on a tighter budget.

oh yeah, by the way. i bought my assassin from sqhertz, and he said that the response in a sealed box seemed much flatter.
