If you are right up next to a woofer and clip a Class-D really badly you can ofter hear a bit of a squealing sound coming from the woofer - high pitched.

all electronics have a 'burn in period' dont they? where if an electrical component is going to fail, it would be during this time frame... shht happens all the time in electronics.

Typically if an amp will fail for "no reason" it does happen fairly early on.
