Ok I have an old desktop and my laptop I am just trying toleran stuff does anyone know how to change the clock speed on a compaq presario sr1103wm

what other things can I do to speed it up

I want to buy some memory for it

Normally you change clock speed by adjusting the multiplier and FSB in the BIOS...but i would be surprised if you can do it on a compaq

Usually pre-built computers lock all those settings...

i dont think you can with a name brand computer i think they lock it out but usually when you have to hit f10 or what ever it is to get in to setup thats where it would be
