Any one ever been to a max liquidation sale?

I drove over 100 miles to go to one in Alexandria La today, it was the biggest waste of time EVER. On the radio they were saying things like, car stereo, then they would throw out a bunch of name brands then say it is starting at 29.99 and everything must go, so i was excited about it.

The prices that they try to get are 85% higher that what you can buy it off the internet for and even higher than most all stores I have been to.

Just a few I remember looking at.... 12 inch ground pounder subs were $129.99 each there.

Rockford Fosgate t1000.1 was $699.99

The cheap wal-mart pioneer 6 by 9's were $99.99

Fosgate 12 inch P2 subs were $249.99 each.

I was shocked at the "everything must go closeout sale they had"

It was my understanding it was not a flee market but a closeout sale. I did no research before going. I looked it up after I got back. I thought it was shops around La that were getting rid of their inventory, I was WAY off.

lol they have these at notre dame all the time i went since its down road and it was actually good if you get there early but wouldnt go again.....and by looking at there site you should of had the sense to tell if was crappy web site looked like took them 20 minutes to make

if you looked at the pawn shops along that 100 mile drive you would of found better stuff

I can honestly say... I have been suckered before by these types of promoters.

You get there extra early, you pay to park your car, you pay a $10-$20 entrance fee.. only to see that there is nothing from the commercials available at the advertised prices. Mysteriously.. it was all sold "earlier" in the day..... amazingly.. really? I wonder how... when I was the 5th person in line.

This is a great scam especially for electronics and computers.

This really is false advertising and should be considered fraud.
