ok after haveing about 15-20 Companies come to my home and do free in house estimates i have a choice to make..

out of all the people that came buy to give me quotes i wanna know what's the best..

so far the best quote was from a Trane dealer.

96% varible 3 speed 80k btu fernice & top of the line A/C unit, duct work, and everything installed came to about $7k..

the fernice alone was 4k, but he said he would drop it down to 2500 if i do heat and air..

everyone else was over 7k and carried other brands im not to sure about..

is that a good deal?

my house is over 1500 sq ft. all duct work has to be re-done.

see allot of them came over, messured window's check to see how well my house was insilated ect..

there was a few that did a great job on the estimate and then came to me with a 8-10k estimate. and they used fernices and a/c unit's i never hurd of..

You live in utah FFS...just get a few space heaters and keep your doors and windows open in the summer.

I would use a couple big window A/C's before dropping 7k on central AC. This is why I always looked for forced hot air in new houses.

i pulled out all the old duct work because it was a gravity, coal burning old as **** school heater.

7k installed? Thats a good price. I was pricing out something similar for my house, central air, with a hydronic heating coil in it for heat as well. Unit alone was abut 3 k, and i figure install to be @3-4 as well.

see i could do just the fernuce, and do a/c later, but for the price i might as well do both.

id be at $5500 just fernuce & install.

so for 7k im gunna have it all done at the same time.
