If so, how long have you played, what kind of guitars/amps do you have, and what kind of stuff do you like to play?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

I've played for 1 1/2 years, have an ESP LTD MH-250, a Line 6 Spider III 75 combo. I jam on lots of older Metallica and Randy Rhoads stuff.

i play guitar i have a 87 us made fender strat with a maple neck, and i have a ibanez gio, i had a marshall stack amp but it got kicked in so for now im using a little crate amp. i also play alot of older metallica

Awesome. Gotta love the fender strats! yeah, I love to play anything from the 1st 4 metallica albums.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif southern rock is sweet also!

I've been playing for awhile now. I have an Ibanez RX20 electric, an Ibanez AEF37ETCS Acoustic / Electric, a Hohner 12-String Acoustic Dreadnought, and a custom 100% wood Baritone Electric made by a guy that I believe used to build guitars for Gibson Les Paul. I play on my custom stack with a 150 watt head with 4 15" speakers. I also run a Digitech RP80A multi-pedal, Digitech RP100 multi-pedal, and Boss ME50 multi-pedal. I play older music mainly....Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan........but will also up it to some newer stuff when playing with my other band.....311, Metallica, Rage Against The Machine.

Swick

Edit- I taught myself.

I have been playing for about 15 years. I have a 1979 Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary edition. Tobacco Sunburst, with silver and gold hardware. The amp, is a Line 6 Spyder head, With a 2 - 10, 2 - Mids, and 1 tweeter cabinet. I am mostly self taught, can't even read music, but I can hear a song, and play it pretty much. I like to play a little bit of everything, but mostly heavy metal.

wow you guys have some nice equipment! 4x 15" would be sick. I taught my self with just tabs, I can pretty much play all main riffs just by ear, but for solos, or complex parts, I need my tabs. lol. about lessons, none in person, but I did read up on techniques though, such as pinch harmonics and economy picking.

Squier Strat tuned in CGCFAD and a Schecter Omen 6 all running throuhg a cheap Fender frontman 15G. For many reasons I have not upgraded the amp. The Squier maybe getting a hotrails humbucker soon since it is in dire need of it with that tuning.

I learned by playing a lot of songs and doing my scale runs. I am still not that good though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I rock a Gibson SG studio, Epiphone Les paul, Fender double fat all american.. black on black.

My favorite is my gibson F body, but my SG is my close second.

As for amp i love marshall. Half stack for me.

My pickups on my fender are nice, a dirty fingers, and a seymour duncan invader.. for more of a punk sound.

I have no musical talent whatsoever... but my cousin plays bass and I have worked on his bass guitar several times. He has a Warwick bass... my Dad refinished it for him in a dark brown wood stain as it was a godawful red color when he got it. I had the pleasure of figuring out how to rewire it when all the stuff had to be re-installed after the stain dried -- I put a few larger wires in while I was at it as they were using some super small stuff. I installed some kind of upgraded pickups for him in it later -- since I am not a musician I have forgotten what kind, but they did sound much better than the originals.

He has a crappy bass cabinet with a 40-watt head... I put an unmarked Eminence 15" driver in there to replace the utter crap that was in there before. It was offensive that anyone I was related to had a speaker that sounded that bad.

I got up with TC Sounds and now have a 15" Beehive motor, 4" VC, underhung, triple shorting ring, titanium cone, PA cloth surround, driver waiting on him to get a 400+ watt head. I tested it and played some bass guitar material from CD and it sound incredibly good, IMHO. The high end extension was very impressive to say the least, seemed to go up to around 5khz or so without much drop-off. Low-end was excellent as well, easily kicking out the low bass notes.

We are going 2-way with the new cabinet... utilizing an eminence horn from 5khz on up to recreate all of the crazy resonances and harmonics of the bass which, from what I read, can go up to 12.5khz and higher. The head he is looking at has an active 5kHz crossover so no passives to soak up power there. If the high end is too "harsh" he will have alot of EQ options on the new head... my goal is to accurately product what the bass sends to the amp and he can adjust tone from there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ive been playin since the 7th grade, and im a freshman in college now, so 6 years i guess.

I think i had one lesson, i learned how to read trumpet music back in middle school, so it kinda carried its way to the guitar.

TABS ftw.

Wish I could play... I am retarded with instruments. I am excellent at listening to them and picking up sounds... but wow, don't let me touch the instrument unless you want to hear something that sounds like dropping the silverware drawer on a pile of dishes.
