HAHAHAHAHA. U are calling me a noob? You gotta get ur head outa ur *** if you think your gonna get 3k at .5 from that amp. First off, yes, after rise at .5 you would maybe get 3k but it would blow if your final imp. is .5 after rise. Now at .5 ohm before rise you wont get 3k. With rise you will be at 1ohm+. Now your telling me your gonna get 3kw from an amp @ 1 ohm thats rated at 2kw @ 1 ohm? Haha.
/rant. BTW, know what your talking about before you call someone a newb. O and i do have one of the MB quart dsc amps and i love em. But i know it doesnt do 150% rated

it is built to run at .5 after rise it isnt advertised as such tho.

Eric lane is running his at .5 on 2400 rms 15" olm subs 1 1500.1D per sub. and they are clamping over 2200 rms per amp at .5 on a 500 watt smaller amp and thats after rise.

I dont think you understand how low you would have to wire to have a final load of .5ohm after rise. O and Clamp tests by mouth dont go very far in my book. Show me a vid and ill believe you

You guys are arguing about semantics. The amp is good, and does a bit more than rated. It will run under 1 ohm. The amp is nice, but it's nothing special. There's tons of amps that will do the same **** thing.

OP, snag that xx goliath. Bad *** amp and plenty of juice, especially for the price.

The MB's caught my eye now though, are they really rated 2200 @ 12v?

I wouldnt mind geting 2 of them, and running each @ .5, one for each sub and see how they do. I just want reliable

IT was not recommended by some. But with good electrical depending on rise you should be ok.
