Any firefighters?

Im really considering being a firefighter. I want to go to college and major in fire science. Im also considering joining the army to be a 21m army firefighter in order to pay for my education (I'll be paying it myself).

Anyone on here a firefigher or have parents/family who work for the fire dept.?

Im hesitant about joining the armed services to be a firefighter though because I do not support the Iraq war, though I have respect for the soldiers. Helping protect them in Iraq is something I could see myself doing.

im 18 and im going to go into firefighting, ill go to college and study EMT and firefighting tech n all that stuff...............2marrow im going to go to a station and talk to the guys and see whats the best way for me to start............ill let u know what they say

I have wildland firefighting training. I don't have a firefighting job though.
