Any Fire Fighters in here?

I passed my CPAT a few months back, trying to find a fire dept that is hiring and willing to pay for rookie school.

I would like to but I make more money than they do.

All depends on what classes you take.

My brother started when he was 18, and now he makes 65k a year and works 24 on and 48 hours off so he is able to work a 2nd job. He works as an EMT one of the other days and has 2 days off a week and makes over 100k a year.

I am sick of heating and air though, I make **** good money but its HORRIBLE work...in 140 degree attics or working in the freezing cold and under houses just isn't fun.

I'd like to do Fire Fighting and own or work at a shop the other 4 days a week
