any electricians on here?

well, i am able to graduate from high school a year early and have been thinking of going to a trade school and becoming an electrician. is anyone here in this profession and what is it like with school in all?

also, im gettin my RE RE soon and its goin in a 32hz ported box, would i need to set my ssf or should be good?

I used to be an industrial electrician (not construction), decent pay if you like being union, I didn't. I won't get into the whole union thing, but they are pretty much worthless nowadays and just **** up money from the real workers.

I became an electrician through the Navy nuclear program, best thing that ever happened to me since I started college too immature and couldn't handle it but I thrived in the nuke program, over 1.5 years of solid schools before ever seeing a boat.

The nice thing is, we'll always need electricians, but I wouldn't "settle" for that, always look ahead to better yourself.

(I'm now the IT manager for a decent sized company with 2 plants after moving up from maintenance electrician to automation programming)
