This is why I'm so anal about closing the blade everytime I put my blade down. I was working with a friend on doing an install and I jumped his *** about 15 times because I would walk over to help him with a question, show him how to do something or assist him on something, because everytime, I would go to grabe something, there was his red blade with the blade all the way open all the way out and almost sliced my hand several times and I chew his *** out. He thought I was just being very anal. Maybe Iam, maybe overly cautious, or just OCD.

Well it finaally happened. Let's just say he closes his blade from here on out.

So this just happened.. Sliced about 90% of the tip of my thumb. Its still attached. Happened like 30 minutes ago. I was bleeding like a when I popped a girls cherry back in '99. Got the bleeding stopped finally and have a band-aid on it tight and haved nedical taped very tight to pull the tip in and have no gap. The tip was very white, obviously no blood flow so I was wondering now that its taped tightly to bring the tip to the thumb, doctors and nurses, will this restore bloodflow and as long asvp I maintain it, it should he be ok and heal up fine right? Or do I really need to goto to the ER for the 5th time in a month ans a half. I mean, its the same xoncept as stitches, right? Bringing the together.

Im at WalMart now getting alcohol and more Band-Aids. I'll post pictures ASAP. Might superglue it.

**** man... I always put my blade away, immediately. If you're thumb matters to you, it sounds like you need another trip to the fucking ER.

In theory it sounds what you did is right, but if it's still white.... I'd get in there right now.

You usually have about 12 hours to get stitches before the skin completely dies and will not heal (from what i've been told on the numerous times I got stitches). I would think you should go get it checked out to be safe.

If left to heal on its own it will look pretty bad.... But hey its a life scar so keep it i say.
