Any DJ's out there?

I've had two turntables and a mixer for quite a while now and have been trying to learn beat matching every once in a while without any luck.

Any suggestions on what tracks would be easy? Like which is easier, slow hip hop beats or like fast techno ones?

What are some good tracks out there?

I like some techno, house, drum and bass, hardcore. But I've never really been into it before so I don't know where to start when searching for vinyl.

Any records shop in the northeast? Having a hard time finding good shops.

Any finally, any advice on learning beat matching and scratching?

i learned on hip-hop records. when i started i went out and bought a bunch of break records and used the beats on there to get the hang of it. now i just pull out two different albums and see if i can do it.

as for advice, it sucks because this is the only advice i ever get, and now i'm giving it....

but PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. especially when it comes to scratching.

start SIMPLY by using two copies of the same track. Get the feel of where to cue, release, etc. then move on to different songs. Maybe two different mixes of a song...maybe what you've heard in a club.
