Well the deer season opens tommorow mourning here. took a few pics of a beast of a deer we have on some of our land. Hes very big up in these parts. Anybody else deer hunt?

I hunt alot around the carolinas, i have not had the chance to hunt anywhere outside the carolinas unfortunately. I'm going tomorrow! i killed a decent 7 pointer last weekend thats about it this year so far. And da mn that deer is huge compared to the deer around here!

yep....theres quite a few 150+ whitetails around here to....10,000 acres and only two hunters so theres not much pressure at all. they grow pretty big

Sounds nice. Do you actually hunt? Or is SD like arkansas and Texas with tree stands and dogs?

Best hunting I have ever done was in west texas. You have rolling hills and boulders, sneak from boulder to boulder trying to get a clear shot within 100yards.

Deer hunting is boring.. flat out.. The best part about hunting, getting toasted, shooting off fireworks and driving ATVs..

Maybe its just the places I go here in TX and MO but fuk you can just walk up to a deer and pop them with a handgun..

Not to mention its a pathetic creature.

Maybe I am spoiled from brown bear hunting.. Who knows.. The Dallas Safari Club has some nice hunts in Africa my old man and I are going on in 06'. now shooting a Rhino or darting a lion with a tranq. Yes please!

Best hunting I have ever done was in west texas. You have rolling hills and boulders, sneak from boulder to boulder trying to get a clear shot within 100yards.

no dogs and i dont have a tree stand...just spot and stalk on the mulies and sit and wait on the whitetails.

maybe you should hunt wild deer not the ones that you pay to shoot.....not everyone has 20,000+ grand to hunt in africa you know.....the whitetails are way harder to hunt than black beer....brown bear i hear are very hard to hunt.

Well I don't pay, friends of the family have ranches you know how it is, and I understand what you mean by wild vs domestic like.

I might have more respect for deer hunting if I took up bowhunting perhaps.. Maybe..

All I know is that knife hunting boar in E. Texas is the only kind of hunting I look forward to doing every 4 months..

bowhunting is very fun...try it out and it will change your mind about deer.
