Any advantages?

I have a 1979 Chevy Scottsdale, it's a single cab pickup. I don't have very much room, so I was thinking about maybe using a basstube. My question is, if I do use a basstube, would there be any advantages using one, if any at all? I have never used a basstube. And, if I do decide to use a basstube, I will most likely be using an 8" woofer.

not really, they don't sound as good as a simple ported box. Anyways, why don;t you look into a alpine plt-5 or plv-7

these are really compact and made for a truck

the origional 8" bazooka tube is a good sounding tube, not the amplified one tho, just get a used tube, put a high power handling 8"in there and a 500 wrms amp and your set, bazooka tube not an imitation.
