where can i download avg? you are saying that the zone alarm fire wall and avg will work good together, or the zone alarm pro and avg?

AVG free is probably the best free AV out there. Symantec is my top preference though.

I'm still quite fond of nod32 AV. I didn't think I had any virii when using Norton 2005, but when I installed NOD32, it found about 3 or 4 different infected files and it dealt with them. AVG might be able to detect them, but generally you will have to rid of them yourself.

Norton Anti-Virus is ok, but whenever the big viruses come out, they seem to be made to NOT be detected by Norton. Norton is prob. the most used virus scanner, so I'd prob steer away from it.. and use something else a little more unknown. AVG sounds good.. I have ran it in the past.. and it delt me no problems.

Also might wanna check into Trend Micro's Housecall. A free browser based virus scanner. I always use this after I run Norton.

i got adaware and spybot. also have the zone alarm free firewall. i'm just not sure if this avast is doing a good job or not. i want to try something that a lot of people have used and knows that it works good
