Answer to gas prices.

range of 40-50 miles they say... that just sucks. It's not the answer to gas prices but i do agree that there should be a mass produced electric car so atleast people that live in town could use it as a grocery getter or w/e

most of my driving is less than 50miles a day, just to work and back. But tis why i bought a bike.

no the answer to the gas crisis would be to borrow 300 grand, buy a crap load of gas, then sell it later when gas is way more expensive! then sell it by going door to door.

Yes, but you guys have to realize, we are using AGM cells. Thus the 40-50 mile range.

We just dont have the resources to cook up a Lithium Manganese (SP) powered car.

Type in a123 in youtube (Li-Mn) You can get way better results with these batteries, but at ~~20 per 3.3v 1100 Milliamp cell it just wouldnt be cost effective.

I think lithium manganese is what they use in the chevy volt. Im not to sure though to tired to research.

This is the motor we are using.

Its a very popular motor for conversions, thus this iosnt my pic. We will have our project based website up next week sometime.

The motor arrived yesterday.....I think its around ~30hp at 96v peaking at 70hp for like 3 seconds. Weights ~140 pounds.

We are using alt-2 for wiring and 500A fuses. the controller is 500amps.
