Using 3/4" MDF, how deep do the cuts need to be? How far apart should they be?

Also, how do you make sure both bends are even? And how do you decide how far back you start the bend or how long the bend is.

And when doing it to both sides of the port do you just calculate it like a regular slot port? Or is there something you need to factor in?

Well...you would make the cuts further apart for a more subtle curve...and if you make the two pieces identically...you should bend them untill the notches touch...and then both would be identically bent.

As for depth, you should be leaving around a 16th of an inch of material left..maybe a bit less.

I would start off by making practice pieces so you can see how each cut's spacing effects total bend and experiment..
