Another port issue please help

I figured out how I want to to my port and subplacement and posted a question last night about doing a square port and thats what I want to do. Heres my problem, I wanted to do the port 12.5"x12.5" and it would be right at 19.25" long but my box is only 13.5 inches deep. That would only leave 1/4 inch between the front plate and the port.

So could I do the port 11.5"wide x13.5" tall so the top of the box would be the bend? Does this make sence? and if so is it a bad thing to even think of?

Would this port design work? I think I would place the sub and port both on top of the box though

I probably wouldn't run the sub with one side on the panels of the box, but that's just me. Overall the design should work ok....Double baffle by any chance?

Actually the box is laying on its back in the drawing. The wider part is the bottom and the narrow part is the top. The front will be doubled with 3/4" and the sides have 2 2x4s running the length, the back has 3 2x4's running up and down and the top has one 2x4. I hope that will be enough bracing. I'll post a pic of the box later today I just got my camera back.

No the sub won't be mounted on the pannel like that I wasnt to put both the port and box on the top.

Mount the sub up and port back. I would change the dimensions of the port so you can use the width of the bottom of the enclosure as 1 of the port walls, it looks like a better loading scenario to me.

Well a guy drew this up for me not knowing how the setup was giong to be so I will try to discribe it. The box will be standing up (its going in a 91 toyota ex-cab pickup) I will use one of the side walls for the side of the port and the sub will be mounted on the opisite side. Does this make sence.

Sorry for the misleading drawing I was at work when I posted it so I couldn't alter the drawing any.

Thanks thats what I wanted to hear, now I can co home and build the port and amp/battery rack and the sub will be here monday. yahoooooo!
