...or am getting rather. It's in the mail now and it's all going to be installed in about two weeks. Let me know what you guys think:
Headunit: Pioneer Premier P860MP
Components: Kicker KS-6.2
Amp: Hifonics ZXi 8006
Sub: 10" Custom
Enclosure: Custom Ported
Car: '91 CRX
I didn't want to go *overboard* because I value my ears //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I know a guy that does custom installs for a lot of the Denver Bronco's and he has been doing car audio for the past 18 years. He was going to start his own line of subs but decided to go into Insurance instead, he still has a few laying around so that's what i'm going to use. I don't have too much info on the sub other than it's a 10" sub with two inches of throw and will take roughly 600 RMS. He played one for me in his Acura on 150 watts and it sounded pretty good on that low of amount of power. He told me that he had somebody meter his subs before (unsure of box tuning, amount of subs, or amount of power) and hit in the 140's. Not too bad for 10's, eh? He is also designing and building the box for me. I'm installing 1.5 rolls of RAAMmat this weekend as well as 5 yards of Ensolite. Two weeks from now he is doing the install and i'll make sure to take plenty of pics as well as a video. Let me know what you guys think of my equipment choices and thanks for taking the time to read.
P.S. I know... the kickers aren't the greatest, but I had very limited options as I only have a little over 1.5" between the window when rolled all the way down and where the speaker screws into the door.
