Another kinetik hc2000 battery question???

I have small svt dry cell battery undernearth the hood(dont know the cranking amps on it) and a kinetik hc2000 in the rear. I have kicker 0 gauge for power and ground running from the svt battery to the kinetik battery all the way in the back. Im purchasing another kinetik hc2000 battery tomorrow and I was wondering if I should place it in the rear with the other one or should I take out my svt battery thats under my hood and put the kinetik in its place so it can be the same from the front and the rear.

Which would be the better option?

thanks

Replace the battery under the hood with the Kinetik. There are some reasons why have different types of batteries paralleled together can give you issues so you can nip this in the bud. Also you more than likely wouldn't get any better performance by having three batteries with that small battery you have up front as opposed to the two kinetiks. space saving as well.

craap, it might not fit there. The height of the battery might get in the way when I close my hood.

Okay, I just did the swap with the small battery underneath the hood to the kinetik hc2000. I didnt really see a difference in voltage. I can turn up my volume about one click up now but thats about it. Does that sound about right? I was expecting to see a bigger difference than one click on the volume knob.

I messed with it some more today and I actually now see a .5 volt difference. I also have the big 3 done with 0 gauge.
I am a little confused here, you are seeing a voltage difference just sitting or at full tilt. You really aren't going to get a difference just sitting, at least you shouldn't. These batteries are paralleled which means the voltage should remain constant and then crank up to 14ish volts when the alt kicks in. If you are seeing a 1/2 volt difference at full tilt then your initial drop could be substantial... That extra battery will add some capacitance and discharge itself at a slower rate than the original, but the alt is actually driving the circuit, once the battery does deplete its charge, the alt is going to have to work more to recharge it, giving even less power to your system. In a nut shell, if your running a power hungry system, you will do MUCH better to replace the alt than adding more and more batteries.
