hi long time since ive been to any car audio board. been out of the stereo scene for past 8 years and the audio shop i have dealt wit is carryin brands ive never seen nor heard yet but is recommending them.

lil background on me i have been more tuned toward SPL like my 1st system bak in 1998 had 4-15in strokers in walled 89 2dr grand am. to in 2000 wit 2 of my strokers in my astro. now i got a vw gti

been lookin round the net at what seems to be the in stuff and what the shop was carrying.

im basically down to 3 diff setups

both have eclipse HU which ive only owned eclipse HU in all my cars.

1st setup: Front- Arc Audio 6000 6,5 components, Rear same as front or coxial, Subs- between 2-8's or single 10 arc series subs, Amps Arc KS 300.4 + KS 300.2 or KS 900.6

2nd Setup- Front & Rear AudioQue 6.5 Component set, Sub same as 1st setup, Amps AudioQue lil 4chan amp and maybe arc ks300.2 for subs

3rd setup - Front Rear some of the Focal Access 6.5 components, Sub single Access or Polyglass line, all amps Arc mostly like the ks900.6

this is basiaclly what ive came down to, im open to suggestions and such on any of the setups. as far as subs biggest ill go is a single 12 as i have a VW GTI and dont wanna weight the back down to any heavy subs and would also like to keep the enclosure small but still have a nice lil sound. dont need anything banging alrdy had 1 car broken into for amps n stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

not sure what to use or if i would need an EQ wit the component xovers and filters on the amps

someone pls help

I'll say I don't know much about the Arc Audio component sets. However, I'll vouch for the amps as having an excellent reputation.

The Audioque comp sets haven't seen much use - but the use they have seen, I've seen good reviews on them. Not many have gotten them, though, so they're not very publicized.

Focal components are quite nice. Definitely will be satisfied with those. Really, you can't go wrong - if Arc's rep holds up for comps, then no matter what you do you'll be happy.

My suggestion, however - invest in some good deadening for the doors and trunk. That'll bring out the sound more, keep rattles away, etc.

EQ should not be needed, typically, though it helps in some cases. Chances are the HU will have plenty to work with already.

planning between the Eclipse AVN726E or the CD7200 mkII, yes i do plan on puttin a layer or 2 of sound deadening in the whole interior( doors floor roof hatch) havent decided on what kind to use or how much i should order yet either to cover my 03vw gti. want to run some 2ga but i think 4ga will be good enuff for what i want to run. plus if i just end up running the arc ks 900.6 i can run the 4ga right into the amp and dont have to worry but distro blocks or anything

will be a sealed enclosure on the subs to save on space and weight to make it eaiser to pull out subs and amp when i happen to go on a track or not

also last time i messed wit any Deadening stuff i had a astro cargo van and all i did was put 1 layer around the back half. also wondering if there is any that would still work for me without the use of a heatgun.
