I am wondering if I should get a anl fuse holder with 300amp fuse or a 300amp circuit breaker? Pros/cons?

I'd go with the fuse, personally. I'm always worried the circuit breaker is going to fail to open when needed if it hasn't in ages. Prefer the path that requires no moving parts.

Fuse all the way.. The more you subsequently trip the circuit breaker the more it becomes inaccurate, also engine heat can affect where it trips causing yet more frustration

Fuse. If you're blowing a fuse enough to need a circuit breaker you've got other problems.
