anl fuses vs agu fuses

They don't make AGU fuses that large, or if they're out there they aren't commonly found //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Use an ANL. 100A would give you a nice margin so you aren't blowing fuses constantly, but it's low enough to protect the wire...which is the reason for the fuse being there in the first place.

anl's are just more robust

The element in an AGU fuse is soldered to the end caps at both ends. That means a lot of opportunity for defects (compared to ANL).

ANL's are a solid piece of metal.

With that much power, I'd go with ANL.

actually ive been wondering kindof the same thing. ive pretty much cut my system in half and the new amp should be here friday.

anyways, i have 0 guage, with a 300anl fuse. im now going to be running roughly 1117 watts. should i drop down to a 150anl fuse? or 120?
