Aren't the brads mostly there to hold the seam tight while the glue sets anyway? Once dry the glue will be a lot stronger than any brad.

Took me quite a while to build mine, but then again I didnt have to even break out the sander or anything. Tripple checked everything I did and made darn sure my cuts were gonna be straight on with guides. Even bought a new saw and new blades.
