So here is the question that sparked the idea:

How do 2 12 L7 with 300 rms each compare to a 18 Fi Q at 900?

I know this is a retarded comparison, but I have ability to buy 1 new subwoofer now, just curious about the difference I shall get.

I know that the Fi has alot better SQ, but will it be an increase in volume thru the entire range? Even if I go sealed with it? Will it play lower than the Kickers in 6ft3 at 27? Will this driver hold up to long term use?

Based on my reading of this and 1 more forum, and reviews of others, I have chosen the Fi Q as my next purchase. But Fi website sucks ***, no prices, and no real info about the drivers. No way for me to order one either.

Someone help me please with my decision.

I have windows98, so I dont get to see everything that yall can. I really like them, would love to find someone local (within 100 miles) that has them in stock so I can audition them.

Still, what kind of difference can I expect? If I can break 140db, I'm straight. But I need mega low end response, something like a helluva HT setup has.
