AMS on the kenwood excelons

Hey guys,

wondering if anyone w/ any experience w/ the AMS could answer a few questions for me.

I don't have an excelon hu, so will i still be able to adjust this amp w/out one? Is there some sort built into the amp mechanism that lets you adjust? will i be able to utilize all other parts of the amps w/out the ams? i plan on upgrading to an excelon hu at some point in time, right now i have the mp919 hu.

Any thing i shold know about these let me know please... btw, i am looking at the x521 to push a set of pce 214 quartz components...

i had one of the excelons rated at 800x1, and i thought it was overtated. my ma audio 600watt amp blew it away! all the stuff works with out the ams, there is knobs under the slide panel.

yeah ive heard the mono's were highly over rated, but that the 2 and multis were good for components, just dont bridge them, which is somethign i dont plan on doing...

anyone else??
