Amp's fuse keeps blowing. What's wrong?

My man at Best Buy said that my amp might be damaged. Please tell me different.

I looked for shorts and didn't find any, I can't possibly think of whats wrong.

It all happened yesterday on my way home from work, I was listening to Late Night Tip with my volume at about 80%, then my fuse blew, I figured, fine, I'll just replace it, I do, and play another song, loud, but at a volume I never have problems with, and this fuse blows, and the next. Then I figure that it's the fact that they're "fast blow fuses", and I get the same fuse type I had before, and this blows easily, now I give up, and I need help...

Please... Help.

If the amp blows fuses with just power/ground/remote connected you have a bad amp. If it powers up and plays, you could have too much of a load on the amp, like running it 2 ohm Mono when it is not stable to that load. remove the speaker wires from the amp - does the fuse blow?

I was thinking the samething, power supply in it could be shot or on its way.

Yeah.

It actually plays... It just blows the fuse when I turn it up a little bit, I can even get decent bass out of it and play it for a long time, but when I try to get it a little loud, it blows immediately.

So you have two 8 ohm speakers or dual 4 ohm? are they wired correct? If you remove one speaker the amp will probably not cut off. So if it is wired correct, you have a problem with the amp. Most times though it is related to load, check speaker impedance to make sure they are ok

Im new here and i dont know that much but how much power dos ur bat push out? and how much dos ur amp take in? im thinking that there is to much power going into ur amp but correct me if im wrong.
