Amplifier power distribution

I am moving my amps in my truck and currently they have two seperate runs of power wire. 8ga. to one amp and 10ga. to the other amp (700 watt total). I just ordered a streetwires multi amp kit which has a distro block with 3 - 4ga inputs and 4 - 8ga. outputs so I can expand later. I was thinking about leaving the existing 8ga. run in with the new 4ga. to the input side. Any problem running two different gauges to the distro input side? Both will be fused.

That's fine. You're just supplementing the 4 ga., and since it's already there - not a bad idea at all.
