You do know that what you measure with the multimeter isn't what the amp "sees," right? An Re of 1.7 works out to a min of 2 ohms when a signal is applied. Amp isn't stable to .5 ohm mono so it really doesn't matter anyway.Btls aren't actually wired for .5 because since this isn't your first rodeo, you know that 2 ohm btls are closer to 1.7 ohms per coil.You knew that though, and of course you have a multimeter to check too.
