Ok, I'm using an Alpine MRP-T130 amp ( 2 x 50w ) to power Boston Acoustics 2way sl65 speakers

the connections are all solid, but depending on which channel input i use, one speaker sounds a lot quieter than the other, almost as if it has no bass, just mids and highs... but if i switch the connection around, the same thing happens to the other speaker, so its not a speaker thing, but something with the amp... check out these 2 pics, to get a better idea of what i'm talking about :

so lets say i plug the LEFT speaker into the WHITE input... the speaker will sound really quiet, and vice versa for the right speaker if plugged into the WHITE input

what could be the problem ? possible that this particular input on the amp is dead/fried or somethin else I overlooked ?

Well first look to see if your +/- speaker connections are wired correctly to your amp. If so, then you might have something fried in your amp or your rca leads could be shot in your stereo. If your amp has high level connections then try connecting your speakers that way.

have you tried swapping the RCA's with another set?

Anything happen if you pound on the top of the amp with your fist (like a loose connection). What happens if you jiggle the gain knob around (crank it up and down) does it go away? How about the Xover? Could be a lose solder joint or a dirty potentiometer inside the amp.
