What are some good names to look for?^ some class D's are also more efficient then others...
there are also a few other classes that have higher efficiency then plain ol A/B, but it is unlikley that you will ever hear a difference...
I went to my local audio spot and hifonics amps where selling like hot bread. Good deals I guess.rockford fosgate, kicker, sundown, alpine, hifonics
hifonics are ok ive never had anyprobs with them they push power for a good price i guess u cant beat the comboinexpensive power
can you please explain what you mean, more efficient how? Does the amp produce power more accurately than A/B amps?Class D's are the most efficient.
Yes, more efficient. Less wasted power. Take less current to make power.can you please explain what you mean, more efficient how? Does the amp produce power more accurately than A/B amps?
So a A/B would draw more power from your battery and more strain on your alternator than a D? Are D amps only made to produce low frequency?Yes, more efficient. Less wasted power. Take less current to make power.
Accuracy has nothing to do with efficiency.
Somebody runs hifonics. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifrockford fosgate, kicker, sundown, alpine, hifonics
Yes most of the time a class a/b will draw more current than a class d for the same power. So a A/B would draw more power from your battery and more strain on your alternator than a D? Are D amps only made to produce low frequency?
hmm, i was so sure i read somewhere calss D draw the most current. i guess im wrong.Yes most of the time a class a/b will draw more current than a class d for the same power.
There are full range class d's and tri-path which is similar in efficiency to a class d plus im sure a few others that I cant come up with at the moment.
They most likely draw the most overall current since there are few if any 4000 watt class a/b amps.hmm, i was so sure i read somewhere calss D draw the most current. i guess im wrong.
