//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif Ok, here's the deal, I was bored today so i figured i'd put my dual box in wire it all up. Wired everything fine, got the box in my trunk and went on to hook up my amp. I had taken it completly out of the car but had left the wires in there. I think my power wire and my remote wire touched b/c i heard some sparking and saw them right next to each other. Figured shit, but owell. Rehooked everything back up to see that my toggle was working!!?! I pulled the dash a part and played around a little, went baught a new toggle switch and put it in. I wasn't exactly sure on the wiring b/c it was just a cheap one with no paper or markings on it. Went turned it on, it work, turned it off then went to turn it back on again and nothing... I waited and waited but nothign happen. Needless to say i spent bout 4 hours + trying to get it to work. I would turn the car off, wire it turn it on and the toggle would work but if i would turn the toggle off it wouldn't turn back on????? Finally got it working like normal and was listening to my subs and relized that i had probably wired them wrong b/c the were just sounding like crap. I had also switched my RCA's so i thought that they might of been the problem, tryed my old toggle agian nothing so i put the new one back on and since then i havn't been able to make my amp turn on. It is wired right and power is getting to it but the HU and toggle can't get it to turn on. I tryed bypassing the toggle and wired the amp right to the HU with no perval. I've been getting really really pissed and want to figure out what they hell is up!!! If you guys have any idea's PLEASE let me know. I'm pretty sure it has to be in the HU b/c the amp was totaly out of the car when the damage was done, but idk...

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Jon

if your power and remote touch it doesnt mean anything, theyre both power wires. if your ground and remote (or power) touch, you can screw everything up. why do you have a toggle? your HU should control the amp turn-on, not u. it sounds like you got a bad toggle, or its not wired right. i say do away with it altogether.

agreed ^ also, if you have another amp, try that one... see if it may have been a bad connection... if you were messin behind your dash, i would check to make sure your REM wire is spliced still and isn't touching a ground... just a thought

I don't have another amp but i'll be able to use another one tomorrow. Everything behind the dash is fine. I checked that several times. Still not sure what is causing it. I mean i'm not a pro installer but i do have a desent idea of what to do and this is just baffling me...

With that audiobahn amp u might have fried it, I had an 1300HCT audiobahn amp and the same thing happened to me and I totally fried the inside or something from what the audiobahn tech was telling me but try to find another amp to see if that one works.

Fuses were fine and i got it fixed. The problem was in my remote wire off the HU. I just bypassed it and put it on the ACC or whatever, I can't remmeber exactly what now. Either way got everything working, thanks for the help guys....
