got a rf t2500-bdcp w/ 2 single 4ohm 9500s wired to 2ohm. without the speaker wires plugged in the amp the wire read 2ohm but when connected to the amp it reads .7ohm it also reads .7ohm when i put the dmm on the + and - speaker terminals on the amp with no speaker wires connected wat could it be???

if your subs read 2ohms from the box ur fine. i dont know why your reading ur ohms from your amp as you should be reading the ac volts not ohms i repeat volts...............

if u set ur dmm to read ohms and hook them to the speaker wires it should read wat u wired them to whether its the wires or the terminal on the amp right?

it should read about what u wired your subs to 2 ohms on the terminals on your box. u dont read the ohms when your subs are hooked up to the amp. you read the volts from the amp when tuning ur amp to set the right voltage for the right amount of power

if the amp is not on it should read the speaker ohm on the amp tho
omg ur retarted........... if it reads 2 ohms or so on the box ur fine. hook the amp up and run it. if your so called at .7 it will go to protect but like u said it reads 2 ohms out of the box. i know that amp as i had two of them one just sold 3 weeks ago and another a 4 months ago

it does cut off and on *******
u sure you got d4 subs? what is ur gain set to and what deck do u have? are you sure you have the remote wire set in good bc i had that same problem bc that ***** has huge remote wire section where i just put 10 gauge wire in it and i never had the problem again as it was cutting in and out. if you had it down to low like .7 it would go to protect and not go out

To answer the question, when you measure ohms with the wires connected you measure the sub coils in parallel with the amplifier outputs. So you are measuring two different things. Not a useful measurement.

Cutting out could be low voltage. Measure VDC at the amp terminals, pos and neg
