Amp to push 2 15" type r's - what would be the best?

Now that ive got the 2 subs. Im looking to quickly get an amp. Im hoping to put about 900-1000rms to each. so an amp pushin about 1800-2000rms would be good... right? i want to try to stay at or under $350.

is it overrated?

it says 2200rms so each subs would be getting 1100rms each. that could work... right?

Very overrated i just bought a 5500 series and it would shut off on two twelves definatly not one ohm stable @ least a true one ohm and each sub i was using was 1500rms and that amp claimed 3200 rms which is bullshit stay away from that Power Acoustik amp n i would advice no one else to purchase their amps lets be forreal 3200rms @ 200-250 new is un heard of and the amp shuts off and gets really warm with no bass boost or anything and its suppose to be one of their most powerful amps which is b.s

It has 3x40A fuses. If it does 1500w rms I'd be shocked. I'd guess 1200-1400 realistically. It's a good amt of power for the price, but you won't get 1800 out of it.

You would need the 5500 series.

i would get a sundown 3k and run it at 1ohm... i would put atleast 1200rms to each woofer.

don't be intimated, they take powa more than rated !

get a bigger amp than the power you need for the health of your subs.

Headroom is always good to avoid clipping.
