Amp suggestion: Precision Power pc2150 or Rockford Fosgate 800a2

the ppi will have a little better sq due to higher damping factor but it does 600 no less , no more. i believe the rf will actually do 1k easy. not sure what the w3's can handle. but my choice would be the PPI. i have two of the small ones and they are soooooooooooooooo clean compared to any amp i have owned.

probably. its really a toss up. they both are current hogs. both are very good. the rf will play louder and the ppi will be a little lower but more controlled. its all up to your taste. i know my pc275 actually played my 15 pretty nice @8ohms bridged. which means it was only getting 150 RMS and it was pretty impressive SQ. I think you should go PPI.

ok i ended up getting the ppi amp but for some reason the subs just aren't hitting like they are suppose to. its really faint and low. i have them in a small pre fab box. ima build another box and see if that fixes it. and the speakers don't seem blown

do you have them hooked up in stereo or bridged? they need to be hooked up bridged. also make sure the -12db switch is not pushed in on the amp.

both +'s go to L+ , and both -'s go to R-.

ok sure enough the speakers are blown //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif lol. i put my meter to em n got weird readings from both of em. now i need to find a repair shop in so cal.

will do. and hopefully i can get my hands on a pc450 next week for my components. do u think i need to upgrade my electrical system to run those two amps. previously i had installed both alpines m500 and f300 running without a problem.

cool. i was messing around with the subs again today and metered them again and got around the correct ohm. i don't hear any crackling noises when i push the subs in. so now I'm thinking its the amp or maybe my install. BTW wat does the "q select 4/2" do?

q select? on the amp? don't use that. dont use qbass either. its bass boost and bass boost is bad. it adds distortion. just make sure you have the speakers wired right and try again. turn the gain up half to 3/4 with no qbass and make sure the bass is at 0 on the deck and the sub volume on deck (iff equipped) is up at a decent level.
