amp shuts off when switched from radio to cd..

heard of anything like this?? the amp turns on with the radio, but shuts off with cd.. could it be the remote wire? batt, ground, and rcas are set up perfectly.. any help?

Umm yea that happens when you hook the "Ant" wire off the Head-unit to your remote lead running to your amps.

You need to use the remote AMP turn on lead off the HU.

here if you still dont understand.

The Ant wire only sends the 12v signal when the hu is swtched to RADIO.

Therefor when you hook it up to a POWERED ant it will raise. When you switch to a alternate source the signal is powered off and the Ant. Lowers back into the vehicle.

Perfect for Automatic car-washes but not for powering up amps. lol

You can look in your HeadUnits Manual to find the REMOTE AMP TURN ON lead. It normally has a label on the wire or is written directly on the wire itself.

Most of the time its blue with a white stripe. It all depends on the HU.
