amp shutoff for some reason

I was cruisin around my town today and had my music up pretty darn loud, i had it up 3 more notches past where i set my gain with a 0 db tone and i guess my amp shutoff cuz it was overheating or i was clipping a little, does this happen to alot of people's amps or is it a more common issue with loud bass goin at almost full volume instead of mids or highs?

do both of ur amps shut off or just one? i have the same problem with my sub amp but not with my speaker amp

jus the speaker one but only when it's warm out like the 80's temps. oh well

Ive had a frontstage amp (phoenix gold) cut out while being pushed hard, in warm weather with a trunk full of stuff. It would usually come back on once it cooled down a bit
