Hey, guys. First post.
I'm looking to get advice on what the best amp or amps would be for the setup below in my 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab:
JVC Arsenal KD-A735BT (4.8V pre-amp outs)
Polk MM6501 in front doors (125W RMS)
Polk MM651 in rear doors (100W RMS)
Polk MM840 under rear seat (250W RMS)
I am currently leaning toward the Polk D5000.5. It is 4x70W (4ohms) and 1x400W (2ohms). I'd probably be pulling more like 4x90W from the D5000.5 (since MM6501 / MM651 are 2.7ohms).
However, I wanted to get the opinion of the crew here on whether there's better amps out there in either a 5-channel package or a 4-channel + sub amp. I'd like to keep the total amp price tag under $300 because I can get the D5000.5 for less than that. I wouldn't mind getting something with a little more wattage if it's out there for this price range. I guess my prefernce would be to get something with at least 4x125W to match the front components and have the available headroom. Not sure if that's within my budget...
I'm into classic rock and hard rock... so I'm looking for sound quality with punchy, accurate, and clear bass, mids, and highs. I don't listen ridiculously loud most of the time, but I would like that capability... and I definitely want clean sound. Would the D5000.5 do it for me from what I've described?
Thanks for the help!
Drew

I should also mention that I also currently own an Alpine MRP-F300 (4x50W @ 4ohms, 4x75W @ 2ohms), and I was orginally going to use that combined with an Alpine MRP-F500 (1x300W @ 4ohms, 1x500W @ 2ohms (which I would need to buy)) for the sub, but I was worried about the MRP-F300 not having enough headroom for the MM speakers. Thoughts? I have no intention of upgrading this truck once I'm finished. It will stay with whatever I choose until I get rid of it. I want to do it right the first time. I would likely take the amp(s) out once I do get rid of the truck, for possible use in my next ride. Not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks.
