I am picking up a a pair of 4-ohm 12" Polk Audio DB1240 (single cone). RMS is rated at 360watts and peaks at 720watts. I am on a budget and am need of an amp to drive them. I don't mind purchasing used or refurbished. Right now I perceived the best bang for the buck would be the Alpine MRP-M500. Any help would be great. I don't want to blow the subs nor do I want to completely under power them. Thanks fellas!

Perhaps the MTX JH600 (600 watt at 2 ohm)....in the end I want an amp as close as possible to 720 RMS...this will guarantee not blowing them? Just want to make sure I have that right...

Also am I be better off looking at a 2 channel or 4 channel amp for my needs?

Thanks for the recommendations so far....I had planned on running the subs via a mono amp at 2 ohm. The kicker 750.1 looks good. I am looking at spending around $250. Can you find these used on ebay for $250?
