Amp reading 7.6 volts...

from my positive to ground my amp is reading 7.6 volts with the car on. But from my ground to remote its reading 13.01 volts... my amps light is on but there is no power going to my sub. the ground is good, ive tripple checked

with power not connected to the amp you get 13v on the power wire? where is your amp grounded at? what was used?

Did you put a big enough gauge wire for your amp?

Also did you check your h/u is properly set if sub settings are available and also check rca's.

Check the fuse and fuse holder. A few setups ago my fuse holder under the hood completely melted and my amp was only seeing 10 volts.

its the fuse lol. i guess i didnt screw the wire down enoguh

if you are seeing 7 sumthin volts at the amp power wire back track go to the under hood battery see what ya got if you are at 13.8 or so you know you have a cut power wire or most prolly a jacked up fuse block. there should be no reason a solid copper wire has any difference in voltage from the batt or alt.....start there
